Overhead Door Technician | Antarctica

Location: McMurdo Station, Antarctica (approximately 1000 residents in summer season)
Rate: $50 per hour (WAGES, which means you'll also get annual leave, time and half for public holidays and lieu days)
Deployment: October 2026 – Feb 2026 (ideally you will be flexible, and able to stay on longer if required)

What You'll Be Doing

• Installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of overhead door systems
• Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
• Performing preventative maintenance to ensure reliable operation
• Maintaining detailed service records and compliance documentation
• Working safely in a remote and challenging environment

What You'll Need

• Minimum 3 year's experience working as an Overhead Door Technician or in a similar role
• New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or valid NZ work rights (no sponsorship available)
• Successful completion of medical, dental, drug screening, and background checks
• Willingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
