At FORMEL SKIN, we’re redefining how dermatological care is accessed — combining medical excellence with cutting-edge technology to build a truly global online dermatology clinic. Having already delivered over one million treatments and backed by leading European health and consumer investors, we’ve recently joined forces with Voy to create one of the most ambitious health tech platforms globally. As we launch and scale new treatment categories in Germany, our growth ambitions are accelerating — and building exceptional teams is central to making that happen. Based in Berlin, a city known for its vibrancy, we’re committed to expanding our reach and impact, offering you the opportunity to be part of our exciting journey.
As a Finance Manager (m/f/d) at FORMEL SKIN, you will take ownership of the accounting and financial control function, playing a crucial role in establishing solid financial workflows and accounting practices. Your work will bring greater transparency to our reporting and strengthen our financial governance across the group.
What you’ll be doing
• Accounts Payable Ownership: End-to-end ownership of the accounts payable process in NetSuite: invoice review and pre-accounting to the correct entity, department and category, approval routing, credit card transactions and missing receipts, vendor master data, accruals and AP reconciliation. You prepare payments, approval always sits elsewhere, and keeping that separation intact is part of the job
• Purchase Order Process: Supporting the set-up of a structured purchase order process, from approval through to matching to invoices, in line with procurement controls
• Policies & Compliance: Supporting the writing and implementation of our finance policies in Notion (e.g. travel policy) and maintaining robust internal controls
• Month-End Close: Supporting the monthly close across all entities with reconciliations and documentation that make every number defensible
• Local & Group Reporting: Supporting reporting under the German Commercial Code (HGB) and to group requirements in NetSuite, including the period in which local systems are switched off
• Group Consolidation: Supporting the consolidation across all entities, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliations
• Audit Preparation: Supporting the preparation of statutory audits with reconciled balance sheets and documented processes
• VAT: Supporting the preparation of VAT declarations as we look at bringing the filing in-house
• Automation & Integration: Bringing automation and AI into daily work and supporting the finance integration of a recently acquired company
• Stakeholder Management: Liaising with local accountants, tax advisors and auditors
What you need to shine
• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant background in accounting or finance, ideally with exposure to multiple legal entities or a group structure
• Accounting Proficiency: Solid understanding of the balance sheet and the month-end close, with good HGB knowledge
• VAT: Hands-on experience preparing VAT declarations
• Ownership: You take tasks to the end without being chased, ask when something is unclear, and come back to report without needing constant guidance
• Working Without Structure: Comfortable in a fast-growing environment where processes are still being built, and able to work independently
• Numerical Proficiency: Confident in handling numbers with an analytical and process-oriented approach, combined with strong Excel skills
• Technology: Tech-savvy with an automation and AI mindset, and quick to learn new systems
• Multi-tasking & Prioritisation: Ability to manage competing deadlines across month-end close, audits, tax filings, and ad hoc projects simultaneously without compromising accuracy
• Language Proficiency: Strong communication in English. German reading comprehension is required (our invoices and correspondence are in German), speaking German is a plus
Beneficial: experience with NetSuite, accounts payable in a multi-entity group, and payroll.
Why work with us?
• A great opportunity to advance your career in finance: Join a growing, innovative company where your expertise will directly influence financial strategy and business growth along with working closely with our Senior Finance Manager Florian Wilhelm and directly reporting to him.
• Benefits you can enjoy: 28 days vacation, NAVIT or Urban Sports Club memberships, employee discounts, a professional development budget, hybrid work set up (2 home office days per week), and remote work possibility (up to 4 weeks per year within the EU).
• Building a great team together: At FORMEL SKIN, we believe that building a great team and fostering strong interpersonal relationships are fundamental to our success. We offer regular company events, a team event budget, and bonuses for employee referrals.
