IT Security Analyst | Contract

The Company
A well a respected healthcare organisation where cybersecurity plays a critical role in protecting patient data, clinical systems, and essential health services are seeking some short-term support in this space. Operating in a highly regulated and risk‑aware environment, the organisation places strong emphasis on information security, resilience, and compliance to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of care.

The Role
This role will have a strong focus on identity and access management, password and authentication policies, security administration, and user education. You will be responsible for administering and maintaining security-related configurations across the Microsoft ecosystem, ensuring compliance with organisational security standards, and assisting in the rollout of new security processes and technologies. You'll also help drive security awareness across the business by supporting training and promoting good cyber security practices. Working closely with Infrastructure, Service Desk, and key business stakeholders, you will play a hands-on role in implementing security best practices, improving access controls, and supporting initiatives that enhance the protection of critical systems and sensitive patient information.

To be successful, you will bring solid experience working with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and the broader Microsoft technology stack. Exposure to security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, vulnerability management platforms, or other cyber security technologies will be highly regarded. Your Profile

• Proven experience supporting and administering Active Directory, including user account management, group policies, permissions, and access controls.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Windows 10/11 environments.
• Experience implementing and maintaining password policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and identity and access management processes.
• Understanding of security best practices and a genuine interest in cyber security and risk reduction.
• Ability to administer user access, security groups, and privileged accounts while maintaining strong governance standards.
• Exposure to Microsoft security technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, or other security platforms would be highly advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve security-related issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and support end users on security awareness and cyber security best practices.
• A proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a secure and compliant IT environment.
