Job Description
RoleTake end-to-end technical ownership of hardware for series products, ensuring robust lifecycle management, timely resolution of field issues, and controlled implementation of product and component changes.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn hardware lifecycle maintenance of series products, including design updates, obsolescence management and product improvements.Lead field failure analysis for hardware-related issues, including root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.Analyze and technically assess Supplier Initiated Changes, PCN, component changes and their impact on product functionality, quality and reliability.Lead technical evaluation and implementation of Engineering Changes (ECN) during the product lifecycle.Support resolution of complex series production and customer hardware issues.Drive cross-functional technical topics with Hardware/Software development, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Suppliers.Ensure accuracy and maintenance of hardware design documentation, BOM, specifications and technical records.Identify and drive quality, reliability, cost and manufacturability improvements.Act as the technical escalation point for critical hardware issues and ensure timely closure.Skills & Experience8–12+ years of experience in automotive electronics hardware development, with strong series/lifecycle experience.Strong knowledge of automotive ECU/electronic hardware.Proven experience in field failure analysis, root-cause analysis and 8D/problem solving.Strong understanding of component lifecycle management, PCN/EOL and Supplier Initiated Changes.Experience with ECN/change management, BOM management and hardware documentation.Good knowledge of automotive electronics reliability, EMC and environmental requirements.Ability to independently analyze complex hardware problems and drive technical decisions and issue closure.Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with automotive controllers / vehicle electronics.Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262 and automotive quality processes.Experience in product lifecycle management and series production support.
