Indigenous Business Growth (IBG) is partnering with a well-established civil construction group to appoint an Estimating Manager as the business continues to expand its footprint in New South Wales.
IBG is a majority Indigenous-owned recruitment business specialising in civil engineering, infrastructure, construction and major projects. We partner closely with contractors, engineering consultancies and delivery organisations to place high-quality, technically capable professionals. Our approach is relationship-led, commercially grounded and, through our personal engineering industry work, built on a practical understanding of how projects run, not transactional recruitment. IBG operates nationally, with a strong focus on NSW, QLD and Victoria.
This role offers a genuine opportunity for a senior estimating professional to play a key role in building market presence, winning work and shaping the pre-contracts function within a growing NSW operation.
About the client

The group delivers civil construction, structural concrete and enabling works for council, private development and major infrastructure projects, supported by specialist divisions in equipment hire, materials supply, recycling and sustainable construction solutions.
With offices and operations across multiple states, the business brings significant resources and experienced teams to deliver complex projects for public and private sector clients. As the NSW operation continues to grow, the business is investing in senior capability to strengthen its local presence and tender success.
The role
Based in Newcastle, the Estimating Manager will report to the General Manager and work closely with construction and commercial teams. The role will lead estimating activities across council and private sector civil projects and manage a small estimating team.
While there may be opportunities to move into larger state infrastructure work in the future, the current focus is on local council and private civil construction, including enabling works and civil packages for building developments.
