Assistant Business Manager NF-04

A qualified candidate must possess the following: One (1) year of work experience managing or directing the activities of a media or newspaper organization. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess experience building external partnerships and negotiating commercial contracts, sponsorship agreements, or Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs). Possess experience leading multi-stakeholder projects from concept to completion, and presenting business proposals to senior leadership. Possess experience conducting business operations within a Department of Defense, NAF, or military community environment. Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager. All other qualified applicants will be referred if requested by the hiring manager. Assists in the management of a large business activity.

Recommends and carries out instructions and directives as necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base.

Reviews programs to identify strengths and weaknesses. Recommends or carries out corrective measure as appropriate.

Evaluates success in terms of profitability, customer satisfaction and mission accomplishment.

Reviews financial reports, plans, costs, and budget. Ensures the safeguarding of the facility and assets. Assists in the marketing and promotion of the activity.
