Job Description
 
• Monitors and follows the daily Kids Club duty schedules, activity programs, and staff assignments to ensure smooth and efficient operation.

• Ensures that all planned children's activities, entertainment programs, games, and recreational events are prepared and conducted according to the daily schedule and hotel standards.

• Welcomes children and their parents in a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic manner, providing a warm and memorable guest experience in line with Rixos hospitality standards.

• Ensures that all children are registered upon arrival and released only to authorized parents or guardians in accordance with established hotel procedures.

• Maintains continuous supervision of children participating in Kids Club activities and ensures compliance with approved child-to-staff ratios and safety requirements.

• Organizes and conducts age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities, including arts and crafts, drawing, painting, storytelling, music, dance, sports, team games, treasure hunts, and educational activities.

• Develops creative and innovative activity concepts to enhance children's engagement and maintain high entertainment standards.

• Participates in the preparation and implementation of weekly and monthly Kids Club activity programs, special events, themed days, seasonal celebrations, and family entertainment activities.

• Ensures that all activities are conducted according to the children's age groups, individual abilities, interests, and specific needs.

• Ensures that the Kids Club environment remains safe, clean, hygienic, organized, and attractive at all times.

• Frequently inspects the Kids Club facilities, play areas, toys, games, furniture, and equipment to ensure proper maintenance and safe conditions.

• Ensures that all toys, materials, and equipment are used correctly and reports damaged, missing, or potentially hazardous items to the immediate supervisor.

• Establishes and maintains the highest possible standards of child safety, hygiene, supervision, and safeguarding in accordance with hotel procedures and applicable local legislation.

• Ensures compliance with all child protection policies and maintains appropriate professional boundaries when interacting with children.

• Follows established procedures for accidents, injuries, emergencies, lost children, behavioral concerns, and other incidents, reporting all relevant cases immediately to the responsible supervisor.

• Ensures that all relevant information regarding children's allergies, medical conditions, special requirements, and emergency contacts is handled in accordance with hotel procedures and applicable privacy requirements.

• Maintains accurate records of children's attendance, registration, activities, incidents, and any other required operational documentation.

• Ensures that parents are appropriately informed about activity schedules, children's participation, and relevant incidents or concerns in accordance with hotel procedures.

• Monitors children's behavior and encourages respect, teamwork, sharing, creativity, social interaction, and positive communication among participants.

• Handles parents' and children's complaints professionally and refers matters to the Kids Club Supervisor or Entertainment Manager whenever necessary.

• Coordinates with the Entertainment Department and other relevant hotel departments to ensure the successful implementation of children's entertainment programs and special events.

• Supports the organization of mini-discos, family activities, themed parties, competitions, celebrations, and other entertainment events according to the hotel's entertainment calendar.

• Ensures that all activity areas and equipment are properly prepared before each session and returned to their appropriate storage areas after use.

• Reviews personal appearance, uniform condition, grooming, personal hygiene, and professional conduct in accordance with hotel standards.

• Attends departmental briefings, staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations as required by management.

• Ensures effective communication and proper handover of all relevant operational information to colleagues and the immediate supervisor.

• Demonstrates a positive attitude, professional behavior, teamwork, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.

• Remains updated on children's entertainment trends, creative activities, recreational games, educational concepts, and best practices in child supervision.

• Uses hotel supplies, toys, equipment, stationery, and activity materials responsibly and minimizes unnecessary consumption and wastage.

• Ensures that all emergency exits and evacuation routes within the Kids Club and related areas remain clean, accessible, and free from obstructions.

• Implements environmentally responsible practices by minimizing paper and material consumption, separating waste appropriately, and encouraging awareness of environmental protection.

• Ensures that cleaning materials and chemicals are handled, stored, and used safely in accordance with hotel procedures and applicable legislation.

• Carries out all responsibilities related to the quality management, health and safety, and other management systems implemented at the hotel.

• Familiarizes themselves with the hotel's internal policies, emergency procedures, fire safety regulations, and applicable operational standards.

• Participates actively in achieving departmental objectives, improving guest satisfaction, and maintaining the quality of the hotel's entertainment services.

• Carries out all other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor, Entertainment Manager, or hotel management that are not specified in this job description

Qualifications
Education: At least a high school diploma or vocational qualification. A qualification in childcare, early childhood education, recreation, sports, arts, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience: Practical experience in children's entertainment, childcare, recreational activities, education, or hospitality is preferred. Previous experience in a luxury hotel or international resort is an advantage.
Foreign Language: At least an intermediate level of English. Knowledge of additional foreign languages is an advantage.
Courses and Training: Prior attendance at courses or seminars related to childcare, children's entertainment, first aid, health and safety, hygiene, and child safeguarding is preferred. Required certifications must comply with applicable local legislation and hotel policy.
Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills, including the use of standard office applications, activity schedules, attendance records, and departmental communication systems.
Skills: Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrates a genuine interest in working with children. Possesses creativity, patience, enthusiasm, organizational ability, and the capacity to conduct entertaining and age-appropriate activities. Has knowledge of children's recreational games, arts and crafts, sports, music, dance, and group activities. Demonstrates awareness of child safety, safeguarding, hygiene, emergency procedures, and guest service standards. Has the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, cooperate with colleagues, and contribute to the delivery of a high-quality guest experience in accordance with Swissotel hospitality standards.
