THE OPPORTUNITY
Based in Paget, QLD, you will join our automation team to develop, test and commission industrial control systems for new-build and overhauled equipment. Working across the workshop, customer sites and project environments, you will partner with engineers, technicians and customers to deliver safe, reliable and fit-for-purpose solutions.
KEY RESPOSIBILITIES
- Develop and configure PLC, SCADA and variable-speed drive solutions.
- Complete workshop and site-based testing, fault-finding and commissioning.
- Prepare accurate engineering designs, test records and project documentation.
- Monitor engineering deliverables, project progress and costs within your scope.
- Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Improve engineering processes through standardisation, digitalisation and continuous improvement.

ABOUT YOU
You are a practical and solutions-focused automation professional who combines strong technical capability with clear communication. You can manage priorities, work independently when required and collaborate effectively with colleagues and customers.
What you will bring:
- An Australian electrical trade qualification, electrical engineering qualification or closely related background.
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation software development, testing, commissioning and fault-finding.
- Working knowledge of PLC, SCADA and variable-speed drive systems.
- Strong planning, problem-solving and technical documentation skills.
- The ability to communicate confidently with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
- A safety-first approach, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
