Staff Engineer, EU Infrastructure
HQI 93
Berlin, Germany056m ago
About Wolt At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe. Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life. About the Team Our Infrastructure teams build the foundation that engineers at Wolt, Deliveroo, and DoorDash build on: the compute, cloud, and networking capabilities that enable Engineering teams to develop, deploy, and run services at global scale. The EU Compute team has a specific focus on provisioning, scaling, and the efficient operation of GPU infrastructure for AI and ML workloads. This is an emerging space with plenty of greenfield opportunities. We're looking for a Staff Engineer to be a hands-on technical leader for this infrastructure work that crosses team and brand boundaries. You'll set direction for the platform, turn complex problems into deliverable plans, write and review production code, and help other engineers make sound decisions. It's an exciting time to join: we're building a global platform and the choices made now will shape how engineers across the company ship for years. What you’ll be doing You'll own some of the hardest infrastructure problems in the company and make the platform easier to operate and safer to build on. We’re determined to build great platform products and user experiences, and you’ll be pivotal in making this reality. Day-to-day in this role you’ll: Set technical direction for shared AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, balancing reliability, security, developer experience, and cost. Lead substantial initiatives from design through rollout and operation, coordinating dependencies and decisions across Wolt, Deliveroo and DoorDash, focusing on workloads targeting GPUs. Evolve Kubernetes clusters, cloud networking, identity, and infrastructure provisioning to support growing and varied workloads. Build reusable Terraform patterns and self-service tooling that help teams provision infrastructure safely and consistently. Improve deployment and operational practices, including GitOps, observability, capacity planning, incident response and recovery. Use production signals and developer feedback to find platform friction, choose where to invest and measure whether changes actually help. Assist with supporting the platform, with deep focus on GPU infrastructure, as well as broad focus on compute in general. Gracefully sunset legacy infrastructure and tooling, and create strategies to reduce toil. Mentor engineers through design reviews, implementation and incidents, raising the quality of infrastructure work across teams. Our humble expectations Deep experience building and operating Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure in production. Familiarity with GPU workloads and orchestration is a plus. Strong software engineering skills: you use Go, Python or a similar language to build maintainable tools and automation. Experience with infrastructure as code (we use Terraform) and with designing systems that other engineering teams depend on. A track record of leading complex technical work across teams, including architectural decisions, delivery, and operational follow-through. You have the breadth to collaborate and design across team and domain boundaries, and the depth to have hands-on impact. Strong judgment on trade-offs in distributed systems, networking, security, reliability, and cloud cost. Clear communication, and the ability to bring people together around a practical technical direction. What we offer Scope and influence. Shape infrastructure used globally, while staying close to the engineering. Your work will help product teams ship services with greater ease and confidence. Real problems at global scale. Multi-cluster Kubernetes, AI / ML workloads, cloud networking, GitOps, and progressive delivery across a global company. Autonomy and ownership. Set direction and see it through from design to operation, with the backing of a global engineering organisation spanning Europe and the US. Growth. Room to expand your scope, whether through deeper technical leadership or broader cross-domain influence. Great people. Work with talented engineers and leaders in a diverse, international environment, mentoring and learning from others. Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel. Manage partner deal registrations end to end, including timely appeals on declined or disputed registrations. Measurement and Reporting Report on regional channel metrics including partner-sourced pipeline and revenue, partner attach rate, average deal size, and hyperscaler attach. Monitor customer consumption and opportunity telemetry to surface risk and expansion early. Tell the story behind the numbers: where the momentum is, where the gaps are, and what you are adjusting. What You Bring Experience in channel or partner management, alliances, or partner-facing sales, ideally within enterprise software, cloud, or data infrastructure. A track record of generating partner-sourced pipeline and influencing revenue within an assigned territory. Comfort operating in a CRM daily. You can brief a sales leader in five minutes without fluff, and write enablement a partner will actually use. Ability to work cross-functionally across sales, solutions architecture, marketing, operations, and legal to remove friction from partner transactions. Self-directed and outcome-oriented. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic’s complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI. What is The Role In this role, you will manage the engineering team for Global UX. This team is in charge of Elastic UI (EUI), which is Elastic's design system and React component library. They also oversee the shared patterns, tokens, and tools that ensure Elastic products are consistent, accessible, and high-quality. You will work closely with the team's Tech Lead, who is in charge of the technical direction and architecture. You will oversee the people, roadmap , and delivery aspects of the team. This means hiring and developing engineers, creating a realistic roadmap , and ensuring the team aligns with Design leadership and Product Management on what gets built and when. The ideal candidate knows how to balance long-term investments with ongoing requests from other teams. They should also be able to create a dependable delivery schedule for the whole organization. What You Will Be Doing Manage and grow a team of engineers responsible for building and maintaining Elastic UI (EUI) and other shared design system infrastructure across Global UX. Run hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career growth for engineers on the team. Build strong team culture and health in a fully distributed, async-first environment. Represent Global UX in cross-functional planning with other engineering, design, and product leadership across Elastic. Remove blockers for the team: negotiate dependencies with other teams, address organizational friction, and escalate risks early. Track adoption and health metrics for the design system (usage, satisfaction, migration progress) and use them to inform roadmap priorities. Build relationships with teams that consume the design system, gathering feedback and making sure their needs shape the roadmap . Support the team's experiments with AI-assisted design-to-code workflows and developer tools. Balance innovation with delivery commitments. What You Bring Previous experience managing engineering teams that build and maintain design systems, component libraries, or similarly widely-consumed shared UI or platform infrastructure. Experience hiring, developing, and retaining engineers, with a track record of growing people into more senior roles. Robust stakeholder management skills. Comfortable sharing the roadmap , tradeoffs, and risks with engineering, design, and product leaders. A track record of balancing platform and foundational investment against the urgent feature requests of consuming teams. Deep written and verbal communication skills, with experience working in a distributed, async-first team. Experience using data and adoption metrics (usage, satisfaction, migration progress) to inform roadmap decisions. A collaborative leadership style that earns trust from your engineering team without needing to be the most technical person in the room. Curiosity about how AI is changing design-to-code workflows and developer tooling, and comfort helping a team adopt new practices responsibly. Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. Principal Software Engineer - Global UX - Application - Platform
HQI 93
Portugal; United Kingdom01h ago
Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. What is The Role In this role, you will provide technical leadership for the Global UX engineering team, the group responsible for Elastic UI (EUI) - Elastic's design system and React component library - and the shared patterns, tokens, and tooling that give Elastic products a consistent, accessible, and high-quality experience. EUI underpins the UI of every major Elastic product. As Tech Lead, you will set technical direction for how the design system scales across dozens of consuming teams, mentor and grow the engineers around you, and act as the senior-most technical voice connecting design intent to component architecture. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will write and review code, make the hard architectural calls, and also be the person other engineers and designers turn to when a component API, theming strategy, or migration path needs to be figured out. We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and component library architecture, who has built or led design systems at scale, and who combines strong technical judgment with the leadership skills to align a team, a roadmap, and a community of internal consumers around a shared direction. What You Will Be Doing Provide technical leadership for Elastic UI (EUI), setting direction for component architecture, API design, theming, accessibility, and long-term maintainability across a design system consumed by many product teams. Own the hardest technical decisions in the system: composable component patterns, breaking-change and migration strategy, versioning, token architecture, and the tradeoffs between flexibility and consistency. Act as tech lead for the Global UX engineering team - setting technical standards, reviewing designs, unblocking engineers on difficult problems, and ensuring the team's work ladders up to a coherent long-term architecture. Partner closely with design leadership to translate design language, visual direction, and interaction patterns into robust, reusable, well-documented component APIs. Drive adoption of the design system across Elastic by working directly with consuming teams, understanding their constraints, and evolving EUI's APIs and documentation so adoption is easy rather than forced. Raise the bar on accessibility, performance, and cross-browser correctness for shared UI building blocks used throughout Elastic's products. Mentor and grow engineers on the team through code review, design critique, and pairing, and help develop the next generation of senior and staff-level engineers. Represent the Global UX team in cross-functional planning with product, design, and engineering leadership, and make the case for investment in design system health and developer experience. Use profiling, telemetry, and feedback from consuming teams to identify where the design system is creating friction, and lead the initiatives that fix it. Explore how AI can improve the design-to-code workflow - for example, component generation from design specs, automated accessibility checks, or AI-assisted migration tooling - while holding the team accountable for the quality and correctness of shipped components. What You Bring Deep, hands-on expertise building and operating React and TypeScript component libraries or design systems in production, at a scale with many internal or external consumers. A strong track record of technical leadership - setting architecture, raising quality standards across a team, and making decisions that other engineers align behind without needing formal authority. Experience designing composable, flexible component APIs, including patterns like compound components, render props, headless components, and theming/token systems. Strong instincts for accessibility (WCAG, semantic HTML, keyboard and screen-reader behavior) and a track record of building that rigor into a team's default practices. Experience managing the lifecycle of a widely-consumed library: releases, breaking changes, deprecation and migration paths, and documentation that keeps adoption smooth. Ability to partner directly with designers and design leadership, translating visual and interaction intent into technical constraints and component contracts. Excellent judgment about when to invest in reusable abstractions versus one-off solutions, and the communication skills to explain those tradeoffs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders. A history of mentoring engineers and elevating the technical level of a team, through code review, design docs, and pragmatic, hands-on leadership. Experience working transparently in a distributed team - clear written communication, async-first collaboration, and open-source or open development practices. Curiosity about how AI can improve design system workflows, paired with the judgment to hold a high bar for correctness and quality in whatever ships. Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. At Elastic, our compensation philosophy aims to provide fair, competitive and transparent remuneration. Evio Overview Evio is a highly unique pharmacy solutions company that was founded by and works closely with health plans to implement transformative (to cost, quality, access and experience) initiatives primarily focused on specialty and other high-cost medication solutions. In 2020, a group of five amazing Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans that in total serve more than 20 million members recognized that the way medications get to patients needs significant reform—rapidly rising costs and massive system complexities are detrimental to patients and the entire industry. In 2025, Wellmark joined as Evio's first non-founding investor and sixth owner health plan. Each company made, and continues to make, significant investments to establish Evio as an independent entity to lead this transformation. Evio has advanced analytics and contracting capabilities at scale , and a suite of digital tools , to power our high-cost medication solutions. Our solutions act as a self-reinforcing “ flywheel ” where each element strengthens and feeds into the next, and support an “Only Evio can do that,” mindset and prioritization. Evio is also a company that has invested heavily in and been highly intentional about people, team and culture. We believe we have created a very special place to work and encourage candidates to observe and ask us about our culture and decide for themselves. Evio's Values • Empathy – The people our business serves always come first. We care for our teammates and put ourselves in the shoes of our health plan customers and the patients and clinicians our solutions benefit. • Diversity – We are committed to fostering a culture where everyone belongs and is valued for their background, experience and insights – one that encourages diversity of ideas, and is a nurturing, trusting, and accepting place for all. • Adventure – We are flexible, thrive in ambiguity, fail fast, and pivot quickly to get to a better answer. We celebrate wins and pivots with equal intensity. • Relentless – Guided by evidence and data, we are creative, curious, and unwavering in our pursuit of challenging the status quo and each other. • Transparency – Just as we seek to bring transparency to the pharmacy supply chain, authenticity and integrity are core to the way we communicate. • Excellence – We strive to raise the bar in all we do by hiring and developing exceptional talent and holding ourselves and our thinking to the highest standard. Systems Analyst Role About the role: Evio and the six health plans we represent are uniquely positioned in the market and have demonstrated success in creating innovative partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers. As the regulatory environment for health plans, PBMs/GPOs, and manufacturers rapidly evolves over the next several years, Evio is expanding our direct manufacturer contracting capabilities and growing the team supporting this work. The Systems Analyst role will translate medication contracting and operational needs into reliable systems, workflows, and data requirements that support this growing business. You’ll work closely with medication contracting and operations teammates, product leaders, developers, data teams, and external partners to understand business processes and turn them into clear system requirements. You’ll also help test and implement application changes, investigate system and data issues, and ensure solutions work as intended for the teammates using them. We’re looking for someone who can bring structure to complex operational and data requirements, communicate clearly with both business and technical teammates, and follow details through from requirements to testing and implementation. What you’ll do: • Partner with business and technical teams to understand and prioritize operational needs and translate them into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, data mappings, and system specifications. • Develop a detailed understanding of the medication contracting processes and the operational workflows supported by assigned applications. Document current- and future-state workflows and identify practical opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and user experience. • Collaborate with developers and vendors to ensure delivered functionality meets approved requirements. • Help prioritize application enhancements based on business value, operational impact, dependencies, and implementation effort. • Define data requirements, validation rules, business rules, and source-to-target mappings. • Use SQL, Excel, and other analytical tools to investigate data issues, validate application behavior, and reconcile system outputs. • Plan and support application testing, including test cases, expected results, representative test data, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and release validation. • Document defects clearly, investigate whether issues stem from data, configuration, process, integrations, or application functionality, and work with technical teams through resolution and retesting. • Create and maintain application guides, process documentation, data definitions, training materials, and release communications. • Train business users and support teams on new workflows and application functionality, explaining technical changes in clear, practical language. • Help ensure applications maintain appropriate access controls, approval workflows, auditability, and documentation. Your skills and experience: • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a similar role supporting complex business applications. • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, healthcare administration, data analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. • Demonstrated experience translating operational processes into functional requirements, workflows, data mappings, user stories, and acceptance criteria. • Experience developing test cases, coordinating user acceptance testing, documenting defects, and validating system releases. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience investigating data discrepancies, validating system outputs, and bringing structure to ambiguous or conflicting requirements. • Advanced Excel skills and working proficiency with SQL. • Ability to interpret detailed business rules, contracts, pricing terms, or financial requirements. • Experience working with software developers, data engineers, product managers, business stakeholders, and external vendors. • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document complex requirements and explain processes effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred qualifications: • Experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefits, pharmaceutical contracting, rebate operations, health plan operations, or a related area. • Familiarity with healthcare product and drug reference data, including NDC and HCPCS codes. • Experience supporting contracting, pharmaceutical RFP proposal management, financial, pricing, or operational workflow applications. • Experience working with APIs, structured data files, secure file transfers, or system integrations. • Familiarity with Agile product development and tools such as Jira and Confluence. • Experience supporting applications in a regulated environment with defined privacy, security, access-control, and audit requirements. Salary Considerations: Anticipated annual base pay range: $95,000 - $110,000 with additional variable compensation. At Evio, we’re committed to building a competitive compensation package to honor the value our teammates bring as well as attract and retain top talent that is aligned with our culture, mission and values. Please note that the base pay information shown is a general guideline for the job responsibilities and qualifications listed. Salary decisions are based on candidate experience, market, and business considerations. There is no minimum or maximum amount of vacation allowed per year, and there is no payment in consideration for unused vacation. Vacation is to be used at your discretion, with approval of leadership. • Parental Leave Generous paid leave for new parents (includes birth and non-birth parents).
