Software Engineer, Workflow Systems
HQI 89
US, CA, Santa Clara12h ago
NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It’s a unique legacy of innovation that’s fueled by great technology—and amazing people. Today, we’re tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world. NVIDIA's chip-design workflows coordinate long-running tools, generated design files, shared compute, and dependencies across engineering teams. We are building the software that makes these workflows repeatable, inspectable, and recoverable. Your primary focus will be workflow definitions, configuration models, and reusable tool interfaces. We work with workflow owners, chip-design specialists, and runtime engineers to deliver usable RTL-to-GDS workflows first, then extract reusable capabilities from those implementations. Runtime engineers own the underlying execution platform; this role builds the workflow software and integrations that use it. What You'll Be Doing: Build workflow definitions, dependency models, and configuration that engineers can understand. Make final settings, their origins, and their effects explainable. Implement workflow state and connect it to worker coordination, cancellation, retries, recovery, and resource controls. Work with runtime engineers on isolation and artifact publication so shared inputs stay protected and stale or incomplete results are rejected. Integrate tools and schedulers through versioned interfaces with explicit inputs, outputs, resource needs, and completion checks. Expose workflow and attempt state with diagnostics that identify the failing stage and next useful action. Improve existing Python, Go, Perl, Tcl, Make, and shell infrastructure through focused changes, compatibility tests, and staged rollout. Partner with workflow owners to validate complete scenarios, reproduce failures, and support production adoption. Use AI development tools effectively. Review generated code, independently verify expected test results, and own the behavior shipped to users. What We Need To See: BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. 4+ years developing production software, or equivalent demonstrated scope. Strong programming in Go, Python, C++, Java, Rust, or another suitable language, with the ability to learn the team's languages. Demonstrate clear interfaces, state models, meaningful tests, and reasoned implementation tradeoffs. Experience with workflows, build systems, job execution, release systems, scientific or ML infrastructure, controllers, or other software that manages dependent work and persistent results. Concrete reasoning about retries, concurrent activity, incomplete outputs, process failure, and safe changes to systems already in use Ability to learn an unfamiliar domain, make implementation decisions independently, and carry a change through verification and delivery. Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd: Owned worker or scheduler integrations, workflow execution, isolation, or recovery mechanisms under real failure conditions. Built schemas, configuration layering, compilers, build graphs, or APIs that other engineers successfully extended. Implemented reproducible runs, artifact manifests, lineage, or cache invalidation. Modernized mature systems with compatibility tests, shadow comparisons, controlled adoption, and rollback. Debugged long-running tools and shared compute using Linux processes, files, permissions, resource accounting, or equivalent runtime mechanisms. Integrated EDA tools or worked with design, verification, HPC, or research teams. Prior chip-design experience is preferred, not required. Relevant experience from build systems, scientific computing, HPC, or research tools can transfer to this role. With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, we are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us and, due to unprecedented growth, our exclusive engineering teams are rapidly growing. If you're a creative and autonomous engineer with a real passion for technology, we want to hear from you. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Everpure (NYSE: P) has evolved from storage pioneer to data platform, closing fiscal 2026 with $3.7 billion in revenue, its first billion-dollar quarter, and accelerating growth into FY27. Our strategic agenda spans the companies defining the next era of technology - hyperscalers, AI labs, the AI hardware supply chain, data platform providers, and the broader AI ecosystem. This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us. THE ROLE: Everpure is building the Enterprise Data Cloud — data unified, governed and understood as one intelligent system, and the foundation enterprises build AI on. No vendor delivers that alone. Our key Alliance Partners own software and infrastructures layers that sit either side of Everpure, and the joint solutions we build with them are what customers actually deploy. When a joint solution is validated, documented and carried by both field organisations, it compounds across every account either company touches. We are investing behind a small number of strategic Alliance Partners. The Senior Solutions Architect, Alliances is the technical owner of that relationship: the person embedded with the partner's own architects, engineering and product teams, building the joint solutions that both companies take to market. This is a partner-facing, solution-led role rather than a field or customer-facing one. Your counterparts are the partner's technical leadership, not end customers. You will spend your time inside the alliance, designing integrations, validating architectures, building the technical content that enables two field organisations, and carrying what you learn back into Everpure Product Management. You are the conduit in both directions. You wake up thinking about one thing: how to build innovative joint solutions that drives business with these partners. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Build the joint solution • Own the technical definition of joint solutions with your Alliance Partners end to end: use case selection, reference architecture, integration design, validation and publication. • Prove the solution works. Run joint labs, interoperability testing and validated designs that stand up under customer scrutiny • Design across the full Everpure platform, not a single product line, and design for how the partner's technology is actually deployed and consumed. • Prioritize ruthlessly. A small number of joint solutions that both field teams can sell beats a long catalogue nobody uses. Be the conduit to Product Management • Bring partner requirements back into Everpure Product Management with clarity and evidence: integration gaps, API and automation needs, certification and roadmap dependencies. • Represent Everpure's roadmap to the partner's technical and product teams, and align release timing so joint solutions land together rather than sequentially. • Maintain the working relationship between the two engineering and product organisations so issues are resolved between teams, not escalated between executives. • Gather and structure feedback continuously; this is a standing responsibility, not a quarterly exercise. Drive business through the partnership • Translate joint solutions into pipeline. Define the plays, the target use cases and the qualification criteria that let both field organisations act on them. • Build the technical evidence base that makes the joint solution winnable: positioning, competitive differentiation, proof points and reference outcomes. • Work with Alliance and sales leadership on the joint go-to-market plan, and hold the technical half of it. • Support the partner's field and sales teams as the escalation point on joint solution architecture. Build technical credibility with the partner • Establish yourself as the trusted technical voice with the partner's architects, product managers and CTOs. • Enable the partner's technical community to position and design Everpure autonomously, so every engagement builds capability beyond the ones you are in. • Grow a population of partner-side technical champions who advocate for Everpure without you in the room. Create the IP • Produce reusable technical assets from live joint work: reference architectures, validated designs, sizing and scaling guidance, deployment and integration guides. • Build enablement content and deliver it to both organisations' technical communities. • Represent Everpure at partner-facing events, joint roadshows, webinars and technical workshops, and create content that reaches the partner's wider technical ecosystem. Work across Everpure • Orchestrate specialist and engineering support cleanly rather than carrying every technical ask personally. • Work with the wider Global Partner Technical Organisation so joint solutions built in one alliance are reusable across others. WHAT YOU BRING: Alliances and commercial • 5+ years in pre-sales, solutions architecture or technical leadership, with a demonstrable record of building partner or alliance-led business. • Direct experience working with technology alliance partners, and a real understanding of how joint solutions get built, certified, launched and sold by two organisations at once. • Commercial fluency. Comfortable connecting technical design decisions to joint pipeline, revenue and the partner's own business model. • Track record of influencing product direction on the basis of partner and market evidence. Technical • Credible at depth across modern data platform architecture: block, file and object, unstructured data at scale, hybrid and cloud data services, Kubernetes and as-a-service models. • Strong working knowledge of compute, database, networking and virtualisation, plus emerging areas including AI/ML data pipelines and data governance and classification. • Fluent in cyber resilience, data protection architecture, virtualisation migration dynamics and the competitive landscape. • Practical command of integration and API-driven infrastructure, and the discipline of validated reference architecture. • Product experience across technology vendors within the relevant region. Communication and presence • Outstanding written, diagrammatic and verbal communication, with the ability to reduce complex ideas to simple terms for technical and non-technical audiences alike. • Executive presence to move between a partner CTO conversation and a joint whiteboard architecture session. • Ability to work collaboratively across the broader Everpure organisation and to influence without authority — in both companies. Way of working • Entrepreneurial and ambitious. Alliances reward the people who create the agenda rather than wait for it. • Combines a big-thinking strategic perspective with a detail-oriented approach to problem solving. • Thrives in ambiguity and pace, prioritises ruthlessly, and drives for results with a strong sense of accountability. THE ROLE As a Technical Program Manager within our Manufacturing Test Engineering Development team, you will provide single-threaded test program ownership of L6 and L10 testing for NPI, sustaining production, qualifications, and test strategy. While the Operations PM owns the factory and schedule, you own test engineering readiness against that schedule, ensuring test engineering is never the surprise at a gate review. You will differentiate this role by translating build milestones into test deliverables at each assembly level, and feeding real constraints back into planning to empower engineers to focus on technical execution. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Maintain an integrated view of every commitment across L6 and L10 NPI, production, qualifications, and test strategy, driving cross-functional dependencies, owners, and timelines in one place. • Own gate and checkpoint readiness at every L6 and L10 milestone by tracking test coverage, ICT fixture availability, parts lead times, and test software releases to ensure seamless deployments. • Facilitate strategic communication, conflict resolution, and architectural decisions, identifying risks early and arriving at gate reviews with a recommended mitigation path. • Absorb status reporting, granular logistics, and dashboard maintenance for team workloads, enabling engineers to remain focused exclusively on technical deliverables. • Solve for root causes and refine organizational workflows to prevent recurrence, framing trade-offs and forcing closure to ensure continuous program momentum. WHAT YOU BRING • A proven track record leading concurrent NPI programs with comprehensive exposure to both board-level (L6) and system-level (L10) manufacturing hardware tests. • Technical fluency in manufacturing test processes—including ICT, functional test, burn-in, End of Line system test, and yield workflows—enabling you to independently challenge estimates and assess risk. • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to compress a complex portfolio into actionable insights tailored for leadership and operational partners. • Advanced proficiency with program management and tracking tools (such as Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, or Confluence) to synthesize complex data and provide full visibility for successful outcomes. • A proactive approach to mitigating downstream risks by identifying critical path dependencies early, rather than merely relaying ambiguous problems or managing immediate exceptions. We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
