Square Associate Product Manager (APM) Program

The Square APM Program is a full-time role with a 12 month rotational program designed to develop the next generation of AI-native product leaders. APMs join Square as full-time Product Managers from day one, embedded on core product teams and contributing to live features used by millions of sellers worldwide. Over the course of the program, you'll rotate across two product areas for 6 months each, take ownership of meaningful initiatives, and help shape the future of commerce using modern AI tools.

This is not an internship or a job-shadowing experience. It's a launchpad for emerging product leaders who build with curiosity, move with speed, and care deeply about helping small businesses thrive.

Who Should Apply:
We're looking for early-career builders who are curious about product, passionate about solving real customer problems, and excited about Square's mission of economic empowerment. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of work experience in a related field, or a degree in business, data/analytics, computer science, or engineering paired with an internship in a related area. Being "AI-native" and comfortable with modern tools is a strong plus.

APMs work on real product teams solving real customer problems across areas such as payments, commerce tools, risk & identity lifecycle, seller experiences, fintech infrastructure, or emerging AI initiatives. You'll contribute to discovery, product strategy, execution, and launches.

Compensation varies by location zone, ranging from $115,000–$202,800 USD depending on experience and location. APMs are full-time Block employees with salary, equity, and benefits.
